PCP – Delfini

What a terrific Sunday the last one was for the Genio, full of emotions.
The match began with 5 minutes of silence, applause and chants, sang along with the boys of the Curva Est of the Delfini team, in memory of Samuel, Michele and Gaetano, three young supporters of Foggia that sadly lost their lives last weekend in a road accident coming back from their team away match in Potenza.
The first half of the game saw the verderosanero attacking. Constant attack reaped the first 3 goals scored by Di Maria, Marino (penalty) and La Bua (penalty). The Delfini filled the gap by scoring their consolation goal with Caccamisi thanks to a counterattack.
The second half was more balanced, but our boys keep a tight grip on the match. Bracia scored the 4-1 goal and the verderosanero supporters were thrilled.
The Delfini protested due to a disallowed penalty (we think they were right). The referee red cards the player involved in the action, and the away team remains in 10 players. Now the game is in the hands of the Popolari that are allowed a third penalty. The visiting team’s goalkeeper protests, standing still at the shooting of the penalty. The goal is scored by Mario Cosenza, legend of Palermo Calcio Popolare.
We close by thanking all the friends and supporters who chanted for 90 minutes. Some German and French friends came for the first time just to see the Genio play! The magic continues…💚🩷🖤
